Quick Connect auto Screen Sharing
Quick connect is a faster way of starting Mac Helpmate screen sharing by clicking on the Quick Connect icon . This will start a download of Mac Helpmate to your desktop, a window will popup asking you to trust the certificate - make sure you click "trust", your desktop picture will then turn gray - don't worry, this is just temporary while screen sharing.
Then a once only screen sharing invitation will be sent to MacMate.
MacMate offers remote Apple/Macintosh support for home and business users over the phone as well as remote screen sharing between our computers.
Sharing control and viewing of your computer takes a minute or two and makes it possible to Diagnose, Troubleshoot, Setup and Train etc.
Remote help can have advantages including the option to assist quickly with no travel involved which leads to lower cost.
There is a minimum charge of $30.00 for remote help which includes the first half hour and then incrementally at $15.00 per quarter hour. Business hours are 8.00 am to 10.00 pm Eastern Time Zone. These instruction are a guide only, always contact MacMate first to discuss.
First click on this “Mac HelpMate” download link, this will start downloading Mac HelpMate. A window may open asking "Are you sure you want to download the Application ....", click "download". If you then look on your Desktop or in the Downloads folder with Leopard or above there will be a file called "Mac HelpMate" with a red cross icon , drag Mac HelpMate into your Applications folder and then double click to start the application. When the Mac HelpMate window opens there will be a Roo logo and the word - Click Here -, click anywhere in that window. This will open up a Remote Support Sharing window, at the bottom of this new Support window click the blue "Share My Screen" button.
Congratulations, you have initiated screen sharing from your end which allows MacMate to share your screen one time only.
At the end of a session you can stop sharing and it will not be possible to start another session unless initiated by the client again.
